Business & Strategy Analyst

We are seeking a Business & Strategy Analyst to join our BST team and support cross-functional initiatives by optimizing data-driven decision-making across key playbooks. This role will collaborate with portfolio company leadership, build insightful performance reporting, and contribute to the design and deployment of strategic frameworks in support of SNH’s transformation agenda. 

The ideal candidate is equally fluent in business strategy and data analytics, with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive operational improvements and enterprise value. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Partner with internal BST teams and portfolio company stakeholders to support playbooks through robust data analysis and performance insights. 

• Build, refine, and automate dashboards, reports, and analytics models using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to drive visibility and performance accountability. 

• Interpret data trends to identify areas of improvement and recommend strategic actions that align with business goals. 

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of SNH’s operational playbooks by embedding data best practices and scalable tools. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and playbooks to ensure data alignment and effective implementation of initiatives. 

• Assist with strategic planning efforts and business reviews by delivering concise, data-backed insights for leadership and board-level audiences. 

• Conduct benchmarking, competitor analysis, and scenario modeling to support strategic decisions and growth initiatives. 

• Work closely with newly acquired businesses to assess baseline metrics and support early-stage integration through data mapping and reporting consistency. 

• Provide training and documentation for tools and dashboards to facilitate knowledge transfer and self-sufficiency at the portfolio level. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus. 

• 2+ years of experience in strategy consulting, analytics, or operations within a high-growth or private equity environment. 

• Strong command of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker) and data manipulation using SQL, Excel, or similar. 

• Proven ability to simplify complex data and deliver clear, actionable business recommendations. 

• Experience with operational benchmarking, KPI development, and dashboard implementation. 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable interfacing with C-level executives. 

• Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

• Familiarity with industries such as healthcare, logistics, industrial services, or SaaS is advantageous.
